Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

When a child walks into a classroom and is amazed by what they see, they automatically gain motivation for learning. By keeping our classroom in tip-top shape with new supplies, my students will be excited to learn new things and be engaged in all activities.

My students are a mixture of special education and general education students (an ICT class).

They are 6th grade students who stay in the same room for all core subjects (Math, ELA, Social Studies, and Science). There are many supplies needed for these subjects, and some of my students are unable to obtain all of the necessary materials. As teachers, we can only do so much!

My Project

These resources will make such a difference. Seat Sacks and storage bins will help my students become organized, while the paper, chalk, crayons, and colored pencils will help them make projects come to life. Students will not have to get this items on their own, we will have plenty to share in the classroom. The timer will help students learn how to manage their time and pace themselves, an important skill for the future as well as for the state exam.

These donations will improve my classroom, because we will no longer have to use alternative materials in place of what is originally needed.

Students will have what they need, when they need it. These items will take away any obstacle a student may feel they have, or the feeling that they are missing something that others have.
