Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

In this project, high school students will tackle a pressing environmental issue, such as water pollution, climate change, or deforestation, and create an engaging, interactive presentation for elementary school students. The aim is to foster environmental awareness in younger students while giving high school participants hands-on research and teaching experience.

To execute the project, the high school students will conduct in-depth research on their chosen issue.

Then, they will organize their findings and design visually appealing materials. Their presentations will incorporate colorful visual aids.

Interactivity will be vital in keeping the younger audience engaged. Students will create hands-on activities, such as pH tests using the General Hydroponics pH Indicator, allowing kids to test water samples.

Our aim with the project is to demonstrate the importance of environmental stewardship, empower students to communicate vital issues creatively and engage elementary school students.
