Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

I am anticipating a group of 20 inquisitive 3rd graders from culturally diverse backgrounds. Many were born in other countries and are acquiring English as a second language. As a teacher on a Title I school, I want to make sure that my students have access to the best education possible, and are never limited due to lack of supplies. I want to make sure that they have all the supplies that they need, no matter what the financial struggles that their families might be facing.

My Project

With our new reading curriculum, our students are in need of the materials that will allow them to effectively work in small groups around our classroom and school. Although we have been provided with a large number of books, we still lack some of the supplies to fully engage in the curriculum.

The clipboards and dry erase boards will allow them to turn any space in our classroom or at our school, inside and out, into an area to work, collaborate, and learn.

They will also help to keep all of their materials together and organized and have a space to work.
