Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

Pre-K is the first time students are in the school life! Almost all of my students come from low income or a single-parent household.

My students are so excited to be around other peers and exploring their new environment with hands on learning materials.

I have a Pre-K classroom where I am currently teaching in person. Coming back to school during a pandemic has been very life changing and has been a not so easy adjustment. Giving the students the opportunity to learn in various ways while practicing social distancing has been a bit difficult, but we have been doing a great job!

My Project

I have requested materials that we use everyday all throughout the day! Other materials will be used in our classroom to be more organized during our center time.

Some of these materials like the crayons and glue sticks will be for students to take home to complete homework or our monthly family projects.

I have also requested some materials that will be used during our centers like the pocket chart stand will be used to display our centers chart so students know where to go. The other pocket chart stand will be put in our dramatic play area to display vocabulary words or directions.
