My Students

In our 4th grade special education classroom we strive to make every day as special as we are. We learn in a unique way that requires our teacher to be creative, inventive and attentive.

The students in this class are energetic, excited, and positive 9 and 10-year-olds who all share a love for learning.

Organization, mastering concepts, and expressing their thoughts and feelings appropriately do not come easy to these children. They are most successful with supports to make them as successful as possible!

My Project

We are requesting tools to help our active bodies stay seating when it is required. Our wobble ball and core balance cushions, as well as our foot pedals will keep us moving even when we are sitting down. This will help us stay focused! We are also requesting mice for our computers so that we are able to navigate on our Chromebooks quicker! Also, we are asking for "seat sacks" to keep us organized at our tables. Lastly, we are excited about our new center materials that will allow for hands on learning, which is how we learn best!

Donations to this project will significantly improve my classroom as well as change my students' lives for the better.

We learn best when we interact with the concepts we are to master, when we have help to stay organized, and when we are able to get our energy out in a non-distracting way.
