My Project

My students continue to be in kindergarten through fifth grade and differ in ability levels. I continue to get students added to my caseload as they are evaluate for special education services. I want to make sure my new students feel welcome, included, and I have materials to use with them to meet their needs.

Overall, my students are are deeply curious learners from various cultural backgrounds within a very strong community.

They need the utmost support as they are all learning at different paces, on different grade-levels, and with vast learning and behavioral needs. They live in a very low-socioeconomic neighborhood in Harlem, New York and receive free breakfast, lunch, and after-school snacks. To accommodate their academic, social emotional, sensory, and daily living needs, we need your help!

The supplies I am asking for are geared toward daily necessities that we need replenishments for such as laminating paper, new educational games and snacks. Aside from working in small groups, my room will often feel like a safe haven for many students who need a break from their classroom.
