This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

My students are energetic, curious kids, excited about learning! Our school is in a high poverty area of Chicago. Many students face challenging situations financially in their homes and they need all the support they can get!

All of my students are capable of great success this year!

I just need to channel their energy in the right direction and help keep them engaged. They are full of ideas and questions. They are great problem solvers and lovers of learning!

My Project

I am asking for these very essential school supplies for my kindergarten classroom this year! Let's face it, school supplies are very expensive! Many of my students' families do not have the money to buy their children the important items they need to work everyday in the classroom.

I need help taking away some of the burden of buying supplies from the families of my students, myself and my school.

All of these items: markers, glue, playdoh, crayons, post-it paper, dry erase markers, etc. are all items that I will need to get for my classroom, so that we can learn to read, write, do mathematics, science and social studies.

All children no matter where they live and what their background is, deserve the appropriate school supplies to help them learn! Please help us get the things we need!
