My Students

Keeping the attention of a seventh grader can be tough. We need more interesting books to both keep students engaged in their reading and also to help further develop their reading skills.

In my classroom, I employ the Teachers College Reading and Writing Project approach to literacy.

Doing so means that each student spends time daily on independent reading. Additionally, each student reads a book at their individual level, which means as a classroom teacher, I need many books at many levels to run this program and help my students to achieve.

My Project

I am requesting various classroom materials on behalf of my amazing students to compliment our reading and writing work. The materials include such items as flair pens, post-it notes, sheet protectors for project work, scotch tape, and hanging file folders to sort and organize student materials. We need these materials for an effective workshop classroom.

Please help support these wonderful students pursue reading and writing in their education.

We really need your help! The one thing we can control is access to a quality education for amazing students. My students want to succeed. Please help us on this path. Thank you in advance.
