My students come from a low-income rural area. Students come to school without the necessary supplies to become engaged in their learning. The only supplies available are the few supplied by the school and what teachers buy for the students to use. Students need to be able to take the engaging materials home to continue practicing the necessary skills to be a successful learner. These students have the drive to learn; they just need a few tools to help them along the way.
My Project
These supplies will allow my students to continue at home to extend their learning. With construction paper, no classroom can have enough! We do several art activities with construction paper that connect art with our core subjects. I want to empower students through art and engaging assignments. Students will create their literary bingo cards, book covers, and illustrated reports. This resource will allow my students to exercise their thinking skills and solve relevant problems while practice grade level standards.
Dry Erase Markers, erasers and white boards help students to easily fix their work without the frustration of pencil and paper.
Magnetic labels will provide more organization for standards and assignments on the white board.
