My Students
Hi, I am a Special Education Teacher and I will be teaching Kindergarten at a dual language school in NYC. My students are bilingual students in English and Spanish from low-income communities. I teach students with disabilities who benefit from visuals and hands-on experiences.
My wonderful students love engaging with interactive resources.
Yet we're facing new challenges with school closures and adapting to distance learning. Getting the right resources to reach them is harder. While I have yet to meet my students, I have seen our classroom and the resources that we will need to succeed this year and into the future!
This year my students will be entering Kindergarten. For some this may be their first school experience. I hope having more resources for my students and myself can help to push them in their learning, engagement, and enrich their daily classroom experiences.
My Project
As we prepare to start a great new school year, our students are in need of new basic supplies to get going and help them be successful in the classroom! I want to make sure I have the supplies to support the incoming kindergarteners as we learn more about each other and strive to build a great classroom environment. This is may be some of my student's first school experience due to the pandemic and I want to make it a memorable one.
My students are in need of basic classroom supplies like dry erase boards, folders, charts, and more!
With your help, I would love to be able to provide my students with these supplies as they enter their first school experience.
