Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

My kindergarten students are creative, thoughtful and excited to be in the classroom! They love hands-on experience and love talking to one another to problem solve. They come to school and tackle the challenges they are faced with. They are incredible.

My Project

The use of paper, post-it notes, and pens is almost daily activity in my classroom, especially in math. Using the workshop model in math, students come to the rug with these materials for guided practice and to record modeled strategies. This allows me to see exactly what they are doing, as well as provide an easy place for them to show and share their work. What becomes a problem is the fact that the materials never seem to last. Please help me fund my classroom in order to give my students the education they deserve!
