This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

We are in desperate need of supplies. We are a school who is hosting 300 hundred students who were displaced due to Hurricane Sandy.

My students are from a low income area.

They face many challenges on a day to day basis. Due to budget cuts, we are short of supplies. Their families often can not afford to buy these basic supplies. I am trying to make the classroom environment as comfortable as possible.

My Project

Many of my students don't have access to printers at home and it would be great to have extra toner so we they can use the printer to print their projects. My students also love displaying their group work on chart paper. My school is completely out of chart paper and my students have been using printing paper to showcase their work. Please help us getting these supplies so they can thrive in academically.

My students often receive the short end of the stick.

Each day I try to instill in them pride and self-worth. Having these supplies provided by an outside funder, would show them that other people feel they are worth it!
