This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

I am anticipating a group of 20 inquisitive 3rd graders from culturally diverse backgrounds. Many were born in other countries and are acquiring English as a second language. As a teacher in a Title I school, I want to make sure that my students have access to the best education possible, and are never limited due to lack of supplies. I want to make sure that they have all the supplies that they need, no matter what the financial struggles that their families might be facing.

My Project

My school is Title I, and I am trying to help my students have the basic school supplies that they need no matter what their financial situation is. All students deserve to be able to learn in a classroom that is safe with all of the supplies that they need to be successful.

I will be using these supplies to keep my students fully engaged in learning the entire time they are in my classroom.

My students have always loved using dry erase markers to solve math problems on their desks. They will also need supplies like notebooks, scissors, and glue to properly participate in the new reading curriculum that has been adopted by our district, as it is very interactive.
