My Students

My students need basic mallets and supplies in order to sound their best on their instruments.

My students are all middle school band students in Florida.

We have concert, marching, and jazz bands. My students are dedicated to band and are extremely hard working. Band is a positive influence in the lives of these students, and it is very important to all of them. They are very deserving of these new supplies.

My Project

We need marching bass drum mallets (we do not have any), concert bass drum mallets (ours are falling apart), timpani mallets (we do not have any), and a snare drum carrying case (which will allow us to travel without damaging the snare drum). These supplies are crucial for playing percussion instruments; the instruments cannot be played without the proper mallets. These items will make it possible for my percussion students to play their instruments and sound their best.

Music plays an important part in the education of my students.

Participation in band builds valuable skills and helps to improve students' self esteem. The experiences they have in band class will help to shape them into the adults they will grow up to be.
