This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

My students absolutely love art, but sometimes we are limited on what we can create due to lack of supplies. Teaching over 600+ elementary students in grades 3-6, we go through a lot of supplies. This year my budget allows me to purchase only basic necessities for my classroom, and I need help getting the rest.

"Art has the role in education of helping children become like themselves, instead of becoming more like everybody else." -Sydney Gurewitz Clemens.

On my wish list I have included items such as modeling clay, tempera cakes, markers, printmaking foam, paper, oil pastels, and even some books to help them strengthen their drawing skills. I know my students would be beyond excited to use these supplies throughout the school year!
