My Students
Can you easily make change from large bills? Can you figure out how much time has elapsed with ease? These are some life skills that may come easy to you, but my students need some extra help with. These supplemental materials can help me teach my students these basic skills.
My students are hardworking, dedicated and are eager to learn.
They are in middle school and are diagnosed with Autism, Intellectual Disabilities or Multiple Disabilities. Although they may struggle with learning some topics that may come naturally to others, they are willing and want to learn to apply these skills.
My Project
Please help me, help my students learn some basic living skills that they will need in the future. Some topics include shopping, sports, work, and cooking. The Explore Math 2 curriculum incorporates functional skills like money use and time telling, as well as reading graphs, maps, and thermometers.
Not all students learn the same way.
What works well for one student may not work at all for another. Allowing me to have these supplemental materials allows me more access to finding the perfect way to teach each student in my class.
