Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My students are in a self contained (special education) classroom in a brand new school in a high-need community. The students love reading and are ready for leveled books.

Since we are a new school, we need many resources, specifically leveled books. As of now, teachers spend a great deal of time printing and stapling books for our students to use.

By funding this project, my students would have leveled books with colorful and clear pictures which are so important for emergent readers. The new books mixed with our black and white stapled books would offer students more choices.

Your help will ensure that my wonderful students have the books they need to feel successful as they begin to read conventionally. Please help my students have all the tools necessary to grow as readers. Thank you!
