Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

I teach an amazing group of kiddos at a founding charter school in northwest Houston! They are at a wide variety of skill levels and are all unique in their own way. They are kind, loving, and eager to learn, especially when it involves hands-on activities. I love their inquisitive nature and hope to provide them with as many opportunities to learn and explore as possible. I also love their willingness to help - not only me, but each other!

My Project

These materials would make such a difference in my students' learning! I would love for them to have a nice, clean rug for them to sit on during library work station, as well as whole group instruction! I love how the squares give them each their own personal space and the rug has the alphabet on it as a constant reminder of what we've learned in kindergarten. The dongles would be great because we have a half class set of iPads, but cannot use Lexia on most of them because there are headphones broken off inside them... with the dongles, we could use this valuable app because we would have sound again!
