My Students

Ours is a charter school aimed to provide children with a college preparatory education. Our school community is very diverse and includes those with emotional, behavioral, and physical challenges. Although, my incredible students are distance learning champions we finally have the privilege of physically coming back to school! As this may be many students' first time entering a school building we want to make the experience as welcoming for them as possible! They have remained eager, kind, diligent, and more than ever want to learn.

Unfortunately, the COVID-19 pandemic has caused many young students to suffer from emotional stress and disturbances, so we aim to make our learning environment safe, warm, and accommodating for our population which includes special education students.

My Project

These supplies will help help my students express their creativity, in addition to continuing their general education journey. There are a lot of families in my school who can use the help to provide their children with the basic supplies that are necessary to succeed. The art supplies will allow them to not only participate in fun and creative activities, but also express themselves during free time. Printer paper will help for printing useful resources. Word blocks will help retaining information and familiarization with words and sounds of letters. My students love drawing photos and engaging in activities that are fun to do!
