Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

Students at FA come from a variety of backgrounds. Many students come to school each day not only to learn, but to feel a sense of belonging. Our school is a home for most of our students. Students in my classes also have varying abilities. Many of my students have learning disabilities that would benefit from numerous technology applications.

I know that creating a safe and welcoming classroom environment is more important than any lesson I will teach.

Students need to be able to forget about their problems at home and enjoy the time they spend at school. They also need to be confident in their abilities. I make sure that all of my students know that I am one of their biggest supporters and I believe in them.

Having supplies like paper, scissors, pens, markers, and Post- its in the classroom will open up opportunities to have the students be creative. Not only will the supplies help them be creative the Post its will allow them to keep track of their reading during class discussions.
