Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

My students are energetic and curious kids excited about learning! Our school is in a high poverty area of Chicago. Many students face challenging situations financially in their homes and they need all the support they can get!

All of my students are capable of great success this year!

I just need to channel their energy in the right direction and help keep them engaged. They are full of ideas and questions. They are great problem solvers and lovers of learning!

My Project

My students need all of these school supplies to be creative with their learning this year. My kindergarteners need supplies like markers, pencils, easel post-it paper, dry erase markers, and construction paper to help them write stories and draw.

My students will use many of these supplies to help them with their phonics skills this year.

They will use Playdoh, note cards, and sentence strips to help them with their letter formation and sight words.

The laminating pouches and binders are to create their homework binders. I laminate important learning charts and put them in the binders. The binders keep students organized with bringing their homework to and from school.
