My Students

My students are amazing second graders who are curious about the world around them. They are a group of fun, friendly, and loving individuals who just want to learn new things. Even at such a young age, they understand the value of relationships with their peers and the adults they know well.

My school is a Title l school.

According to the U.S. Dept. of Education, Title One, Part A of the Elementary and Secondary Education Act, as amended (ESEA) provides financial assistance to local educational agencies (LEAs) and schools with high numbers or high percentages of children from low-income families to help ensure that all children meet challenging state academic standards. That being stated, I will be requesting various classroom supplies that I am in need of during the school year for class projects and lessons.

It is imperative that my students have the things they need to learn and grow. Since they are still so young, I want to be able to provide them with a multitude of opportunities to learn in new ways.

My Project

Having a portable photo printer in my classroom will allow me to post memories of the children working in different areas of the classroom. When the students are able to look back on the hard work they have done through photos, it will make the experience more enjoyable.

Learning isn't about just getting the right answer, it's about the process that gets you there.

Having photographs posted in the classroom will allow the students to reflect on the hard work they have done. In addition, it would be nice to be able to post pictures up of class trips the students go on. The students and their parents will really appreciate that.
