My Students

Do you remember what it was like the first time you got to look through a magnifying glass? Or watch a plant grow?

I teach 16 kindergartners at a high poverty school.

My students love to do hands-on activities and be involved with said activities. They are unable to sit and look at a science textbook and need to interact with what we are learning while experiencing it first hand.

My Project

With the resources I have requested, my students will be able to touch, see, and learn through experimentation. They will be able to see first hand how plants grow with the see through window greenhouses. The magnifying board will help them to see items close up. With the Science Discovery kit, the kids will be able to do many different science experiments.

Science is a subject that is usually left behind due to math and reading.

I am trying to make science fun for my students through hands on interaction. Please consider helping fund this project to broaden little ones minds toward science.
