Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

My class is made up of English Language Learners, general education students, and students with disabilities. Even with their various learning challenges and language challenges, my students never fail to exceed my expectations, which as a teacher is always humbling. These incredible learners deserve to have the supplies they need.

My First Graders are very enthusiastic and excited learners. They just need some additional tools to get them on their way to learning.

My Project

Every year, we get the opportunity to teach a small group of students a topic we are interested in. This year, I am teaching science experiments with my students! As scientists, we will need lots of different materials.

Some projects I have planned are making slime (who doesn't love slime), making sensory bottles, painting with bubbles and more!

We also will need notebooks in order to record our problem, hypothesis and solution.

Kids have so much fun participating in hands on activities. I want to make this a great experience for them, while still making sure they are learning about science at the same time.
