My Students

The best way to teach science in the classroom is to integrate it with reading. Reading is a very important in expanding their vocabulary and knowledge. Keeping them engaged is easy to do with read-alongs and educational dvds.

My students are scientific geniuses who get beyond excited to learn about the environment around them.

They love learning about sound waves, patterns in the weather, and animal life cycles because those are things they can see, hear, and touch every day.

My Project

The Magic School Bus read-alongs will be ideal for integrating science standards in with reading. Read-Alongs take reading to a whole new level. They improve literacy skills in all students. Students listen on a higher level than they read so listening to a story will help grow their vocabulary and reading skills.

Read-alongs and DVDs keep the students engaged to learn about science standards like forces of motion, matter, weather, and animal life cycles.

The Magic School Bus DVDs will help the students get charged up about science. They retain the information because they can relate to the characters. Students don't realize the videos are educational because the adventures are so entertaining!
