My Students
Our classroom is an beautiful place where amazing things happen everyday. Students come into this classroom from every walk of life imaginable. Upon walking into the classroom, you will see a diverse group of students who share the same love for school and friendship.
While all the students are so amazingly different, they all share a strong desire for learning and success.
These children strive for greatness every day, regardless of where they come from. Some children come from a family living in poverty and some from a country they moved from only days ago. No matter what, they are strong and resilient children who work hard every day to do well and learn to the best of their ability.
My Project
These magazines from Scholastic are always a hit with my students! Scholastic News magazines bring kid-friendly current events into the classroom while building reading skills and content knowledge. They provide on-level non-fiction with ready to go lesson plans and online resources to build comprehension and vocabulary.
Not only do they provide engaging topics and resources, but my students will be able to take home and share their magazines with their families.
This will also facilitate the building of a home-to-school connection that is very much needed in our community. Reading opens so many doors to children! By funding this project you will be giving me the opportunity to open those doors for my students and the world around them.
