Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

"Try your very best!" This is what I remind my students everyday. My class is an integrated co-teaching class made up of students with disabilities, English language learners, and gifted students. Our school is located in a low-income, high need area but that doesn't stop my students from doing the best they can. My students are a group of wonderful and curious kindergartners that love to learn. I wish I was able to provide them with all of the great resources out there to help them become better students.

My Project

I am requesting a few classroom materials to help me teach my students in a more effective way. My class is made up of students with disabilities, English Language Learners and gifted students. This means that I constantly teach in small groups and scaffold my lessons to the various levels of my kids.

The small easel would be a tremendous help when working in small groups with my students.

The privacy boards would be used as "personal writing boards" so that each students has immediate access to the word wall and writing checklists. The phonics game would help increase the decoding skills of my struggling readers. As you can see, each of these materials will serve a specific and much needed service.
