Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

Our school is made up of 85% students with learning or behavior disabilities. Inclusion is a huge attribute in our school that makes students feel safe. Hence, my students are hard-workers who lack resources in the classroom. Our group does a lot of current event researches which often requires students to print out work. However we have limited amount of access to printers. We believe if our classroom had a printer it would enhance the learning experience. Thank you so much in advance.

My Project

As a social studies teacher, I educate students on the values of social developments in our society. Therefore, to make the work authentic; I often ask students to conduct research that reflects our topic of the day. The final phase of our work always involves printing out material, which takes a long time to do. We believe, if our students have access to a central printer in the classroom it will improve student voice and participation. As I’ve mentioned before my students are hard workers who lack access to simple items such as a printer. We believe that our students would greatly benefit from this item.
