Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

My students are an enthusiastic group of first graders. I teach a group of first-graders who love learning and going to school. If you were to ask my students what their favorite subject is, you would get a wide range of answers including math, reading, social studies, science, and art.

Our school is very small but diverse.

Most of my students are from low socioeconomic backgrounds. Our school is a Title I school with 100% of our students receiving free lunch. Most of my first graders are Limited English Proficient.

I am requesting pencil boxes, watercolor pads, 1 inch tissue paper squares, and folders. We will use the black felt tip markers for all types of writing and art. The fun 2 inch size tissue paper will be used for our Mother's Day vases. Watercolor pads will be used to paint beautiful art. The pencil boxes will be used to hold any school supplies. The green and yellow folders will hold all important work they create.
