Help me give my students a great hands on experience! Students will be focusing on creating projects using the materials listed. These materials will help provide an engaging summer experience for students who have been remote this year.
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Students
My students are young little learners experiencing school for possibly the first time. They are curious about the world around them and can make anyone light up when they begin to understand it.
Students in this class are from various backgrounds, many of whom have not been in school before and due to the pandemic, have still not been able to experience the excitement of classroom experiences with new supplies and/or activities.
My Project
Students will be engaged in hands-on activities during the summer program that will encourage them to continue exploring the world around them.
Creating ice cream and other crafts using the listed materials will help capture their curiosity and provide engaging activities for many students who have been remote all school year.
Students will be involved in dramatic play as they use the materials to create their ice cream shop uniforms and develop their imagination. The students will use materials to develop their own bird feeders and other items that will also help them build confidence in their skills.
