Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

The students in my classroom this year range in all levels of academics - some students are bilingual 1st year English, others are just entering the English only learning model, while others are advanced English speakers. What they all share is the need for good mentor text modeling of writing.

A funny chapter book is a perfect way to hook young children to become lifelong readers.

They will have access to continue practicing reading comprehension, fluency, and vocabulary skills and improve their reading stamina over the summer. The funding of this project can do just that.
