Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

My students are creative, clever, and very enthusiastic about learning. The majority of my students are from low-income families and have little money to buy books they need to read at home. Your support would bring books to them so they can read during the summer months at home.

My Project

Reading is essential for the future success of our children. In kindergarten, they are just developing a love for books. With this pandemic and our school being closed, the chances of these children holding a book to read are slim to none.

The gift of reading must be a priority for our young learners!

They have been "reading", or more likely listening to, books for the last two and a half months. It is of the utmost importance to get books into their hands. This is how and when they feel the love for reading. To have these books for summer will foster this love for reading and for learning!
