it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My students have such an eagerness to learn. We have a large population of English Language Learners in our school, with very little materials to support them.
Many of the students in our school come from low-income families and they rely on our school for support.
I am always amazed to see the growth of our ELLs as they progress throughout the year.
My Project
During this virtual world, the area that has affected students the hardest is writing. This is especially true for my ELL students. In this past year it has been very difficult to teach writing instruction during the virtual learning.
The envelopes, stamps and labels will help my students and I to communicate in the summer as Pen Pals.
By writing to me during the summer, my ELLs will continue to develop their writing skills. I would also love to send additional trinkets with their letters which can double the cost of postage.
