My Project

Thank you so much for the opportunity to be able to give my students the love of reading and journaling. Many students do not read and write while they are at home over the summer. I would like my students with the opportunity to be able to read one of their favorite books, Dog Man, over the summer. Studies show that children who keep up their reading and writing skills over the summer have an easier time transitioning to the next grade. Students also don't usually practice their writing skills. Being able to give these journals to my students will give them the practice they need to keep up their writing skills, which will ensure that they are ready for the next grade.
