Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

The use of sensory toys provides a means of exploration and engagement for my students. The students I work with have multiple disabilities, have limited mobility, and are non-verbal. Sensory toys offer a range of textures, colors, sounds, and movements that captivate their attention and encourage them to explore and interact with their senses. Incorporating sensory toys will engage, promote active learning, and helps develop cognitive skills, such as cause-and-effect relationships, spatial awareness, and problem-solving abilities. I want my students to feel empowered, have the opportunity to explore, and become independent!
