My Project

My students are creative, clever and very enthusiastic about learning!

Many students are children of immigrants whose native language is not English.

This creates an even larger disadvantage for these students due to being multi-language learners (MLLs) and need extra support during the summer months via their educational journey.

So many of these children are really struggling with things to look forward to when school is out for the summer. I would like to bring a bit of sunshine to their summer vacation by gifting each of them with a surprise goody bag with activities to support their learning whether indoors or out!

My students need summer kits that contain grade-level reading materials and activities to strengthen their reading skills throughout all core-subjects. These kits will help bridge the gap via summer slippage which is known to happen within the summer months. These materials will be gifted to my students during the end-of-year as we wrap up Grade 2 and look forward to Grade 3 in September, 2023!
