This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
My students are special in their own unique way. They are curious and eager to learn. I teach a diverse collaborative classroom that consists of students who are typically developing and students with special needs (Autism, Speech or Language Impairments, and Other Health Impaired). My students deserve an amazing culmination gift because they work so hard everyday. We have daily behavioral challenges but they are resilient and bounce back and keep going, learning and growing from it.
The summer bridge workbooks will help my students who are transitioning to Kindergarten.
It will build on what they have learned in preschool in the areas of Math, Phonics and Writing. The books "On the First day of Kindergarten," will give them an idea of what Kindergarten is like through a fun story. The laminating sheets will help me to laminate student certificates and certificates for parents who have volunteered. The wand bubbles and beach balls will help strengthen their gross motor skills and the Playdoh will help strengthen their fine motor skills. The bags and beach buckets will help them to be consistent, responsible and organized as they store their supplies in a specific area as they have learned in preschool that everything has a home.
