This project is part of the Black History Month celebration because it supports a Black teacher or a school where the majority of the students are Black.
My Students
My students are a group of highly energetic, amazing children with Behavioral Needs in grades 2 - 5. Many students with Behavioral Disabilities have difficulties in learning new information, communicating, and social interaction.
My students are most engaged through hands-on learning activities and computer-based learning.
My students range in both grade levels and academic levels. Finding activities that can encompass all my learners can be difficult! I teach in an urban elementary school in Milwaukee with a high poverty rate. All of my kids have excellent attendance and have a LOVE of learning!
My Project
My students are in need of all of the basic school supplies like pencils and erasers. Every day we have a need for these basic supplies that seems to enhance the daily success of every child.
Every child deserves the basic supplies that will help them to improve their academic abilities.
The students are also engaged in technology on a daily basis, however, we are in need in of headphones that are nice and sturdy.
Offering a warm and safe place for learning is my goal as an educator. Offering basic supplies, headphones, and bean bags for students to feel safe and loved in our learning environment is what teaching is about.
