Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

My students are very enthusiastic learners. They need the appropriate materials to express themselves and be successful in the classroom. I want to provide them with the necessary tools to be successful in their learning.

My students attend school in the inner city amidst an industrial neighborhood where poverty, gang violence, and dropout rates are prevalent.

Although some of my students face hardships, they come to class with a great attitude and an excitement to learn and express themselves daily.

My Project

My students need math calendar journals to practice math skills that are necessary for financial literacy. Using the math calendar journals daily will help math be more engaging and will establish a daily routine. The magnetic money will help students count money and help them be familiar with the different bills and coins. The math games will be used after math lessons to help students master basic facts.

My students will be able to practice essential financial literacy skills using the math calendar journals, magnetic money, and the math games.

They will be able to practice a variety of skills for financial literacy on a daily basis.
