My Students

My co-teacher and I are lucky enough to teach a group of unique, creative, kind and determined learners. Our classroom is an inclusion classroom that supports students in both developing academic skills and building their social competencies. Our classroom provides a safe, inclusive environment where all students are valued as individuals while developing foundational skills for continued success in school.

It is our goal as teachers to ensure that all of our students thrive.

We understand that students have unique needs that need to be met in order for them to meet their full potential.

My Project

In order for our students to thrive, their needs need to be met. Sensory supports allow for students to get to their "just right" state so that they are ready to learn.

We are asking for a variety of materials so we could meet the unique needs of each student.

Some of the materials we are requesting will help to filter sensory input, allowing students to better focus on their work and those around them. Other items we have requested will give students the opportunity to move around while working. The variety of sensory supports that we would be given if this project was funded would allow our students to be the best students they could be.
