My Students

We are a uniquely diverse high school, in the heart of Long Island City, Queens, NY. My students are all amazing individuals, with amazing stories to tell. My classes are primarily focused on business and finance. My students consider themselves entrepreneurs. They develop real, feasable businesses, where they create business plans, and compete, sometimes on a national level, for seed money to further their enterprises. However, many of my students' needs are not met, as the vast majority come from economically disadvantaged homes, where even basic necessities, are scarce.

My Project

Our school is located in Queens, New York. The students who come to our school are interested in business and work diligently toward becoming entrepreneurs in their own right.

My students create businesses that are creative and innovative.

They create a business, write proposals, present their ideas, and ultimately bring their dreams to fruition.

As part of our curriculum, my students compete in a Business Plan showcase. However, in order to successfully compete with other firms, from schools across the nation, and sometimes, internationally, they will need business cards with their contact information, card stock paper to create flyers that display more information about their business.
