Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

This project is meant to expand my classroom library for my students that are English Learners. I have quite a few smaller books that are in spanish but only a few chapter books and for 4th grade my students need access to both types of books. They need chapter books to help them extend their ability to read longer passages. I want all of my students to feel successful and confident in their reading ability.

These more challenging books will give these students an opportunity to show what they are capable of in their own home language.

Until they are capable and comfortable reading in english I think having these books will make sure they feel successful and they will be successful.
