Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

As a continuation high school facing constraints in offering a variety of electives, we prioritize providing hands-on activities that not only facilitate learning but also promote mental well-being. Engaging in practical tasks allow our students to immerse themselves in the creative process, providing a much-needed escape from life's challenges while honing their math skills, as they will be using geometry to calculate transfer and placement of images.

Recognizing the therapeutic value of such activities, we are pleased to announce the launch of an after-school club focused on sublimation printing on cups.

This endeavor not only caters to our students' interests but also serves as a means for them to channel their creativity and potentially explore entrepreneurial opportunities.

The club will offer a space for students to learn the art of sublimation printing, from understanding the technical aspects to unleashing their imagination in design. Through hands-on instruction and experimentation, they will have the chance to craft unique, personalized cups and t-shirts while acquiring practical skills along the way.

We are asking for a Brother sublimation printer and sublimation paper to make our project possible. Our students will use this printer and paper to print images on and with a heat press transfer it to t-shirts and mugs and t the same time use their math geometrical skills for placement and transfer of images. Students will be using coordinate planes to simulate the surface of the t-shirts and mugs to position images.
