My Students

Are you the one who is willing to make a difference in the lives of children? Can they count on you to assist them in their success? Children can learn when given the materials for success. These children need someone to believe in them. I do, do you? Please help me, help them. They deserve it!!

My students are in third grade.

Many of the students at my school are affected by poverty. The school they attend is a Title I, high needs school and most of my students come from lower socioeconomic backgrounds. Many of the students in my school are worried about whether or not they will have something to eat when they get home, a bed to sleep in, and if they will be safe or not. The majority of the students are on free and reduced lunch. Some of them live in cars, live with multiple families, or they live in shelters. Mom and dad have to work two jobs to make ends meet and so the students are responsible for watching their younger siblings. The last thing on their mind when they leave school is homework and reading. That is why it is so important to give them the resources while they are in class and learning. The classes at my school range from 22 to 28 students. Each teacher is responsible for teaching two subject areas. I teach math and science in my classroom.

My Project

Each teacher at my school is responsible for teaching two subject areas. One of the subject areas that I am responsible for teaching is science. This third grade science kit will assist in the daily objectives that my students need to master. These resources will be used in daily science centers and will be sent home with the students. By sending home some of these resources the students will be able to work with their families on the same objectives that we are learning in class. This science kit includes many items that are essential for the mastery of the basic science objectives. These items within the kit will also assist in the students being active learners and will assist them in using their critical thinking skills.

Please be the one to make a difference in the lives of these children.

They are hardworking and dedicated but face many struggles in their day to day lives. They have the potential to do great things. It takes that one person to care. Are you going to be the one person to "PAY IT FORWARD"? I guarantee your generosity will be greatly appreciated and will not go unnoticed. Please help me assist these amazing children on their journey to success. Just think If you don't, who will? Thank you.
