Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

For the first time in my career, I find myself teaching middle school social studies. I love history, and teaching it to my Title I students, regardless of their age. I know that my incoming middle school students in the South Bronx will be beyond eager to attend school this fall, whether in person or virtually.

I will continue to do everything in my power to get all levels and abilities of my middles engaged and interested in global history and US history so that when they enter high school they have a solid foundation.

Of course I will still dress in character, talk with an accent, and use my microphone! I work diligently to show my cherubs the world outside of New York City.

My Project

Adding this digital resource to my teacher tool belt will help improve the outcomes of my 7th and 8th grade scholars. While I do my best to help them master social studies concepts and curriculum, I am always looking for new and engaging ways to assist them with mastery. I have been interested in creating a Study.com teacher account for a while, but shied away due to the cost. Seeing that donations are currently doubled, I felt like now was the time. I would love to have this resource as having the ability to further differentiate my lessons is powerful!
