Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

I am entering my third year as a teacher and I am proud to be teaching fourth grade again. My classroom is filled with many different students, some who do not speak English, some with learning disabilities, and many kids in between but none less loved. This year has been a challenging one, but the students have not missed a beat, every day they show how resilient they are. These students deserve a quality education regardless of where they are.

I believe in an even playing field.

That is why when my students enter my classroom, I want to make sure that they have all of the resources they need. Whether it's flexible seating or intervention programs, they should have access to quality education.

I know that with help from DonorsChoose, we will be able to provide a classroom that helps our students thrive.

My Project

I am requesting a subscription to Studies Weekly which is a student friendly curriculum provided for Social Studies. It covers topics such as civics and government, geography, economics, and history.

Unfortunately, our Social Studies textbooks are extremely outdated.

I would love to provide students with current and up to date material that is specifically geared for their age and will help them explore and navigate the world they live in today. Not only will these magazines be available in print for the students to have as their own but they will also be available online for the students to work remotely.
