My Students

The obstacles my students face daily is mind boggling. From major learning gaps to significant language barriers, they amaze me with their willingness to continue. As their teacher, it is my responsibility to help them overcome these challenges in any way possible.

What we learn today becomes part of who we are tomorrow.

With your generous donation, you will help my students improve their understanding of language, communication, and comprehension. You will open the world of endless possibilities to our students, which will help them fall in LOVE with learning.

My Project

Our online school-wide reading intervention program is geared to speak to the students, so working headphones are mandatory. Currently, what little equipment we do have it dirty, worn out, and regularly malfunctions.

They need to hear AND see!

We are also building our in-class library with on-level books, so that students will want to read. Once we obtain books they are actually interested in reading, they are placed in reading groups so that they can work collaboratively. Working closely with their peers is another way to increase both their love of reading and their overall comprehension. Reading is the key!
