My Project

The specific items being requested, such as pencils, crayons, and other basic school supplies, will make a significant difference in the learning experience of students with autism for the Lunar New Year. For many of these students, having the right tools is crucial for engaging with their educational activities and enhancing their academic progress. Pencils allow for writing and practicing fine motor skills, while crayons and markers provide a way for students to express themselves creatively, which can be especially helpful for those who struggle with verbal communication. The availability of these materials helps reduce frustration and anxiety, as students are able to participate in school tasks without delays or difficulties related to a lack of necessary supplies.

The goal of this project is to provide students with the tools they need to succeed in their educational journey.

One key goal is to support the development of fine motor skills and handwriting abilities, which can be particularly challenging for students with autism. Additionally, these supplies will help foster an environment that encourages creativity and self-expression, allowing students to engage in activities that promote their social, emotional, and cognitive growth. Another important goal is to create a classroom setting where students feel more independent and capable, as they will have the resources they need to complete assignments and participate fully in classroom activities.

What makes these students special is their unique ways of learning and experiencing the world. Many students with autism have incredible attention to detail, a strong preference for routine, and a distinct way of processing sensory information.
