it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Students
In our schools' musical ensembles, the bassist, guitarist, pianists, and vocalists have a very important role. They lay the foundation of the music but unfortunately they can not be heard without a dedicated amplifier.
Our children are very proud high school students.
They are the gems of a traditionally tough area and really take pride in their success in an area that isn't "supposed" to succeed. They are all musical beginners but they are very eager to learn. The financial state of the school does not allow for much expansion.
My Project
The students have been practicing music of many different styles: classical, soul, rock, and jazz (just to name a few). This donation of an amplifier will give them the chance to excel to a new level of performance. This will allow them to expand this musical opportunities because they can perform in a variety of venues. Finally, this amplifier will allow the guitarists, vocalists, and soloists to record and hear their own performances for critical self reflection.
This donation would mean the world to these aspiring musicians.
They are improving with every practice and with your help they can take a great step toward musical and artistic success. They can begin to sound like the incredible musicians that they are, and hopefully they will begin to feel just as incredible as they sound. Thank you.
