Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

My students are fabulous first graders! They are enthusiastic and eager to see and talk to each other about their experiences the moment our Zoom meeting begins. They have made great progress despite our virtual challenges.

Our school is an inner city school in a major urban area.

My students are in a high risk area.

My Project

We all know technology is outdated from one moment to the next. While, at the same time, not all technology offers the same capabilities.

There have been times when my students have a question about what they are seeing on their screen and I am unable to help, due to the fact that I am utilizing a Chromebook instead of an iPad.

It is already extremely hard not being able to help them directly, so, when they ask a simple question like, where do I go or what do I press? I do not always have the answer for them because I am unable to see what they are looking at on their end. With this new iPad, I will be able to see what they see and navigate them properly when assistance is needed.
